How to pronounce deprecate

deprecate is most commonly pronounced "dep ruh kayt" (/ˈdɛprəkeɪt/). This is the widely-used reading among engineers, though edge cases exist.
"DEP-ruh-kayt" — three syllables, no "-shee-". Often mixed up with "depreciate" (deh-PREE-shee-ayt), which is a different word.
